    Web Mail Notifier in Firefox
I can access my mail page from above.
When the Hotmail page is open I now have a blank column on right side
(approx. 4 cm) .This did show adverts until I installed Adblock plus.
I would now like to expand the page content to utilize the blank column
    space

Please help an oldie newbie by giving some help.

Apologies if this is a wrong site posting.

Although this newsgroup is only carried on servers that didn't honor the remove
group message when Microsoft retired the hosted source, news.microsoft, it is
still a valid place to discuss Windows Live Mail -- albeit with much reduced
    exposure.

Microsoft has moved discussion (and support) over to forums -
answers.microsoft.com. Windows Live Mail is found under Mail in the category of
    "Hotmail, Messenger, & Skydrive."

Basically, removing the ads will leave you with a blank space where the frame is
reserved. To eliminate the ads, you'll need to upgrade to a paid Hotmail Plus
account, which will give you back that column.
    http://windows.microsoft.com/en-US/hotmail/hotmail-plus
or for your region, the UK:
    http://windows.microsoft.com/en-GB/hotmail/hotmail-plus

Note that this is not available in all regions.

    Thanks Stephen,
    That clarifies the situation perfectly.
I'll live with the blank column.
