well well well, seems that "vista" has some dvd driver problems

    have now seen more than one machine where the dvd drive just quits
    working because the drivers are reported "corrupt" in device manager.
    solutions range from deleting uppperfilter and lowerfilter keys in the
    registry to doing system restores and or re-installaing vista.
    only seems to be a problem with the dvd drives, wonder why ?
