What results on cmd line from cmd "set" & "ver" under WinNT4SP6a ?

Discussion in 'Windows Server' started by bestofcomputer, Jan 1, 2006.

  1. I need to know what is displayed on the command line by the commands "set"
and "ver", under WinNT4SP6a, for programming some batches :
Could someone has an access to a WinNT4SP6a System, and do the simple
    following :
    - open a DOS Box.
    - type : set > set.txt
    - type : ver > ver.txt
    - type : notepad set.txt
    - return to the DOS Box
    - type : notepad ver.txt
    - close the DOS Box
    - copy all the texts in the both notepad windows
    - paste the 2 texts in this group, as a reply to my post.
    - close all windows.
    Thanks a lot.

  3. Thanks for the post.
But I need more informations about 2 questions :
What is under WinNT4SP6a with IE60SP1, the full Pathname, for the Current
    User of :
    - His Desktop : is it : "%USERPROFILE%\Desktop" ? Or is it
    "%windir%\Desktop" ? Or what else ?
    - His Quick Launch Tool Bar : Does it exist under this such System or not,
and what is its full pathname : is it : "%USERPROFILE%\Application
    Data\Microsoft\Internet Explorer\Quick Launch\" ? Or is it :
    "%windir%\Application Data\Microsoft\Internet Explorer\Quick Launch" ? Or
    what else ?
    Thanks a lot.
