whats new in win 2003 server compared to win 2k server ?

    Hi All,

    I have been trying to locate writings on the above mention subject but can't
    find any. does anyway can help me out ? etiher showing me where is it or
    share with me his findings? any help is very much appreciated.

  2. I can't give you a detailed list - I'd check the MS web site on the Win
    server sections. However, I do know from experience that MS has tightend
    up a lot of security issues and settings in Win 2003 Server vs Win2K server
    (my officemate is the Security Administrator for our organization and I amd
    the Windows Server Admin so we talk a lot <G>). In addition Win 2003
    Server has a lot more group policies that can be set.

    To be honest, if you're going to a new install definitely Win2003. If
    you're upgrade - the same unless you have a compelling reaons (like apps
    that need to be upgraded first) for staying with 2K. We have 2K stuff at
    my place and are upgrading them over time.
