    Hi everyone,

I am using Outlook Express 6 (with all the latest service packs) to view and
post to newsgroups. I posted a question on April 8, 2005. When I went to
look for replies today 4/11/05, I noticed that messages from 8 AM April 8 to
2:30 PM April 10 were missing from the display. I tried "catching up" but
that just marked all the messages as "read". The only way I could get to the
"missing messages" was to use OE6 from my other workstation.

I know it is probably a simple matter, but how do I get those "missing
messages" to re-appear on my original workstation... as if I had just logged
on to the newsgroup for the first time? Say I want to review some messages
that I read a week ago. What do I do to retrieve them, and why would there
be an obvous "gap" in the displayed messages in the first place? Because I
use the newsgroups for professional reasons, it's important for me to get
the answer. Thanks for your help...

  2. Greetings John,

Welcome to the joy that is Outlook Express Newsgroups :)

If you reset the messages in the Tools, Options, Maintenance, Clean Up option and then
re-download everything, you should have them.

As well, this group is accessible via Google Groups (http://groups.google.com).
