Why does the player9 stop playing forward some time?

    I have just installed wmp9,and use the activex control
    into my vc project.And i let the player switch 2 big video
    files(>700M) time from time.But sometime the player stops
    playing forward while just switches to the other file,and
    it tells me that it is playing while the time line doesnt
    forword ,but sometime not.
    Can anybody tell me why?
    Is it a bug of wmp9?
