    Our software inventory tool detected the IE7 software title as "Internet
    Explorer 6 (7.0.5730.13)". Why it didn't show "Internet Explorer 7" ?

    Could I said it just a version upgrade and the base used still is IE6 ?

    Thx.

    I had reboot the system after installed IE7. The registry
    "HKLM\Software\Microsoft\Internet Explorer\International" the name
    iexplorer.exe with REG_SZ show 6.0.2600.0-.... Is that mean the base is IE6
    ?
    Thanks.

    There is no International key under HKLM for IE (its under HKCU). Look
    carefully at your regedit window.

    Your IE version should match the Product Version of IExplore.exe in your
    (default) IE folder.... \Program Files\Internet Explorer

    A version token is also passed with the userAgent, but this can be user
    modified and is unreliable (IE8 allows you to change it on the fly)

    In the browser address bar type...

    javascript:navigator.userAgent;

    to return your browsers userAgent string.

    Regards.
