Why no Touchpad on HP Z545 Keyboard?

The Gateway Destination PC/TV computers sold in the mid-
late '90s had an RF wireless keyboard with an integrated
touchscreen (and a companion RF trackball mouse remote).
The keyboards work quite well within about 10-12 feet of
the receiver. The receiver plugs into the standard
keyboard and mouse ports. I bought one of these
computers in 1996; it still sits in my living room and
still works for TV and websurfing. You can find these
keyboards on E-Bay (search for Gateway Destination).
Might be an option for those who prefer touchpads.

BTW, the keyboard also has a PS2 mouse port on it - I can
recall many hours spent lounging on the couch playing
Command and Conquer using the attached mouse...
