why won't myWindows media player 11 read cd tracks when i rip cds

Discussion in 'Windows Vista Music, Pictures and Video' started by From a frustrated DJ in Chicago, Apr 14, 2007.

  1. I've used my Windows Media player11 to rip Cds to my external hard tdrive
    for about 2 weeks now, This week when I insert a CD into my latop it keeps
    reading Track 1 Track 2 etc. This is for store bought and burnt CDs. Is there
    any way to circumvent this problem because it's really a pain to type in all
    those tracks all the time. Any help would be greatly appreciated from a
    frustrated DJ?

    Does opened cmd.exe as an administrator and then running:
    regsvr32 wmp.dll
    in that window fix you up? There'll be one more step after this
    regardless... =\
