why wont this fool computer shut off?

    sometimes I press shut down and it wont shut down it just
    stays on; whats the deal with this!!!???

    Press shutdown or choose shutdown from the menu?

    If you are actually pressing the power button, don't - If you must, then hold it in until it shuts off
    ( not recommended ).
