Widescreen MOD file is not being displayed as widescreen.

    Hi

    I just bought a new Cannon video camera that records widescreen videos in
    the MOD format. Whenever I open the videos in either Windows Media Player or
    Windows movie maker, the video is not played in widescreen format but instead
    it gets displayed in the normal size.

    How do I fix this?? I've tried playing with the options, but nothing seems
    to work.

    Which version of the player?

    Is there a sample video to take a look at?
