I have a portable media centre, and the main reason I got it was to transfer
the TV recorded by the Media Centre 2005.

All the stuff I have recorded is from DVB-T, and is 720x576 16:9 widescreen
    ("[email protected]").

The conversion process converts all the TV to 242x240, and the full frame is
    squashed.

This is then played by the portable media centre in the middle of the
screen, resulting in the 16:9 picture being 8:9. This is unwatchable.

How can I fix this problem?

    Thanks in advance.

  2. This is a known issue which Microsoft is working on. No ETA on when or how
a fix will be made available yet, though.

    BTW, the newsgroup microsoft.public.windows.mediacenter.portable is
dedicated to PMC devices. You should post your PMC-related questions there
and watch that newsgroup for any news about this bug. This issue has also
already been discussed and answered there.

    Regards,«
