I had to reinstall Windows 2000.

    Now, the display is at 640 * 480 (or 800 * 600) and colors
are locked at 16 Colors display.

Under device manager I do not have a display adapter
listed. And, under other devices, I have Video controller
(VGA compatbile) listed with a yellow question mark.

I have done multipe search engines and many of the answers
tell me to go into BIOS and make changes. I have to admit
I am not familliar enough with the PC.

Can someone give me some help? It would be greatly
    appreciated.

  2. I very much doubt that you need to play with the bios. Unless you are
familiar with it, i would stay well away.

Normally the yellow question mark is because of driver problems. Have you
got the driver for the video controller and display adapter? You could try
removing the Video controller, reboot and see if it picks it up properly.

Otherwise click the video controller, select properties and have a look what
it say. It will say why there is a yellow question mark. If you have the
drivers for it, click on re-install driver and install the driver.

You could try adding a display adapter, which *may* sort out your problems.
Make sure that you install the correct one.

If all else fails, could you give me some information about your video
controller, display adapter and motherboard. I'll then see if i can sort
    something out.

    Hope all goes well,
