Does anyone know what the difference is between

Windows Server 2003 R2 Standard Server Edition

    and

Windows Server 2003 R2 Storage Server Edition ?

We are only using R2 for the newe DFS...(nothing else). Should we be using
Storage server instead? We are not using NAS/DAS devices.

  2. Storage Server 2003 only ships as part of OEM hardware and can be used for
file and print serving only. Check out the product guide (see the link on
the right side of the page) at
    http://www.microsoft.com/windowsserversystem/wss2003/productinformation/features/default.mspx.
There is a topic that describes the differences between W2K3 R2 and Storage
Server 2003 R2 and why to choose one or the other. I wish I could cut and
paste the text here but it must be some sort of graphic.

As far as DFS goes, it's the same on both versions.
