    Hello,

I'm having some problems with DFS. I never used/configured DFS and
everything was working fine until recently. However, since I installed
service pack 1 on a windows 2003 server, the performance of that file server
has decreased by about 80%. After searching for the problem I think that it
might be related to the changes made to DSF in SP1. Since I updated to SP1,
every time some heavy file modifications are made, fssv.exe uses 50-60% CPU
    doing some unknown tasks.

I wanted to know if someone has an idea if there will be a fix for this and
if I could disable the DFS service until this is fixed.

    Thanks for your help

  2. Do you mean dfssvc.exe?

I can't really find much info on fssv.exe.

I suggest you log a call with MS PSS about this. I believe any calls in
relation to a SP are free.

This group would also benefit from a follow up from you...

    Thanks!
