    Windows Server 2003

I have made no updates or software installs recently but all of a sudden
both my external USB CD/DVD-Burner and Internal CD Rom drives
stopped reading cd-rom disks containing data.

I can play and rip audio and I can still burn but if I try and browse a data
    disk in
explorer or in cmd then all I get is:-

"Windows cannot read from this disk. The disk might be corrupted, or it
could be using a format that is not compatible with Windows."

I also removed the USB cd-rom drive and plugged it into another machine
and it worked fine (PikaOne RipCase).

Any help would be gratefully received.

    SOLVED.
I booted off the O/S disk and ran a repair.
    All works fine now.
