A little while ago jwbernin posted the following: "Every time I remove the A record for my DC hostname from DNS, it comes back. How do I tell Windows that I really do NOT want this A record back and that it should not give it back to me?"

I have this same problem on a 2008 R2 server - it keeps adding an A record for servername.domainname.ca... I've got into "Network Connections > IPv4 > Advanced > DNS" and unchecked "Register this connection's addresses in DNS", yet the IPs keep coming back. It's also putting the server into my SOA and NS records, also places I can't have it.

Researching myself and reading through jwbernin's post, I couldn't find any resolution to my problem. Can anyone tell me what's happening?

    Thanks.
