Running WLM 14.0.8089.0726 on Win 7 Pro x64. Have three Hotmail accounts
hooked to WLM - on three machines in my home. After a power fail, I get the
0x80048820 on all three machines for one of the accounts (the
    primary/default).
    - I tried looking for 0x80048820 in the Live help - no entry - no help
    there.
    - I tried deleting the offending account in WLM, rebooting and re-adding.
    No good.
    - I tried deleting all three accounts in WLM, removing WLM from the machine,
rebooting, reinstalling WLM, adding the three accounts. No good.
    - I tried (per a suggestion on these posts) from the web-hotmail emptying
the standard folders into new temp folders associated with the account. Then
trying to resync with WLM. No good.

I don't want to throw this hotmail account away just because it won't work
with WLM anymore - but do I have any other choice? Thanks.

Is the account accessible at account.live.com and mail.live.com and contacts.live.com ?

Are(were) you prompted to enter 6-8 characters to validate the Live ID when accessing any of the the above sites ??

Having the same problem with a single Live ID and an msn email address.

Have tried the same troubleshooting as Senior John.

The account as available through the web interface but can't get to it
    through Windows Live Mail.

Has anyone found anything that actually works to clear this up?

Make sure the computer's date is correctly set.
