I with you, Gennady. I have the same problem, and I see that there have been
    about 20 posts without a clear-cut answer.

    Here's my info:

    Problem Event Name: APPCRASH
    Application Name: wmplayer.exe
    Application Version: 11.0.6000.6344
    Application Timestamp: 46e221bb
    Fault Module Name: Indiv02.key

    Fault Module Timestamp: 474fbaea
    Exception Code: c0000005
    Exception Offset: 000ac765
    OS Version: 6.0.6000.
    Locale ID: 1033

I've tried some of the WMP updates that are listed in the Download Center,
but none have been installed, either because, it's "already installed" or
    "doesn't support this operating system"

    I"m running Vista Business 64-bit.

....have you all noticed that when you go to the Vista Help and Support
Center, it tells you to look at the KnowledgeBase, and when you look through
the KnowledgeBase, it tells you to go to the Vista Help and Support Center?

Here's the fix that worked for me: (Delete the DRM files)

Funny, it was posted in another topic by Zachd, but he didn't post the fix
here. I guess when you're watching so many posts, it's hard to follow up
    with them all.

    Take care,

The EVR crash and your IndivKey crash would likely be different things,
which is why I didn't suggest the DRM reset fix for Gennady's issue, which
appears to be a video issue.

Each crash is likely to be different than any other crash described,
especially if the Fault Module Names do not match between the crash reports.

Jeff, were you ever able to get a resolve on your issue? I have the
exact same thing happen to me. Also on around 1/3 of my initial computer
boot ups it will pop up that Windows Media Player has stopped working
and must close even though I was not even using the Media player yet

I am running 4 gigs of memory and 64 bit Vista Home Premium.

What are your specific crash details according to the Problem Reports and
    Solutions center control panel:
has how to look that up if you don't know how.

  9. I can not thank the people that replied to this problem enough.
searched for a fix to my media player and no other site posted what t
do. All that was said is that media player 11 is bundeled with vista
and if it is corrupted - oh well. Thanks to the suggestion that it migh
be due to a corrupted installation of a visualization pack, I went righ
to the problem app, and my media player works just perfectly
