    I have uninstalled Windows messenger as shown in XP tips
    and tweaks. The only time I have a problem is when I
    double click a contact in MSN 7 BETA to start a chat. A
    popup window comes up that tries to install Windows
    Messenger 5.1 !!! I can click cancel but it pops up a
    second later. What's funny is, after cacncling about 3
    times in a row, it stops, and I can chat with that guy
    OK! But if I choose any other action like to draw or chat
    with a different contact, again, the Windows messender
    tries to install itself! What should I do?? I have
    uninstalled and reinstalled MSN messenger but the problem
    still is there. Thanks!

  2. Greetings Zvi,

    Windows Messenger and MSN Messenger actually share quite a lot of components. As such, when
    you open a conversation window, Windows Messenger can actually be called and if there is
    something "damaged" it will re-install itself.

    To correct this, click Start, then Run, and type the following:
    msiexec /x {A433AE09-2126-4dad-9CBD-C1B05DC42787}
    then click OK.

    Then, after uninstallation, reinstall Windows Messenger 5.1 from:
