Photo gallery is shut down by DEP when I try to search my gallery. Turning
off DEP for Windows Photo gallery is not allowed. How do I get the program
    to run correctly?

  2. Hello,

    To Disable DEP in Vista:

    1. Click Start
    2. Click All Programs
    3. Click Accessories
    4. Right Click on Command Prompt
    5. Left click on Run as Administrator
    6. Click the Allow button if it asks you for permission
    7. Type or copy and paste this into the command prompt window:

    bcdedit.exe /set {current} nx AlwaysOff

    8. Hit enter and you should see the confirmation: Operation Completed
    Successfully
    9. Reboot and DEP should be off.

Hey! I had the same problem and did what you suggested, but I still have
the same problem. I NEED TO KNOW HOW TO TURN DEP BACK ON since it didn't
help. I can't turn it on or off the normal way anymore. Do you have
another suggestion on how to fix the problem?
