How do you configure dependencies amongst various Windows
    Services?

Is there built-in protection against circular dependencies?
    For example,

    A depends on B
    B depends on C
    C depends on A

In this scenario, none of the services could be started.

  2. You can configure these dependencies via the service properties and there is
    no protection against circular dependencies

Thanks for the information Richard. I found a white paper
on Managing System Services that has most of the
configuration information I was looking for.

I am curious as to the notion of a Service "failing." I
know you can configure responses to a Service failing in
the Service Control Manager. I am curious as to what
    constitutes a failed Service.

    Thanks again for the help.
