    Windows Update has encountered an error and cannot
    display the requested page.

    (0x800A138F)

    Windows update.log: Determining machine configuration
    (Error 0x8007000D: The data is invalid.)

    I searched the net and did most of the possible fixes
    with no success.

    I know MS made some changes to protect against viruses
    which may be contributing to this problem.

    Help!
