    Just keep trying...

I haven't done a thing to anything... except for replying
to an earlier post (oh, and turn off Firewall, and back
on again about 30 seconds later)... and update has now
    just decided to work!

This is the thing with technology... it's a concept that
is completely and entirely under the influence of
    Murphy's Law.

To put it another way, computers run on software,
programs that are basically instructions to a machine to
    do something in particular at a given point in time;
nothing more, nothing less. The instructions are to be
followed and fulfilled to the exact detail.

Technology doesn't have a mind of it's own... but it
knows a man named Murphy, and is fluent in his law!

    :)

Besides, if all else fails, use lump hammer!

;-) but, don't quote me on that one.

I think it's more likely to be that the Update server is
dicking about a bit... probably premenstrual in machines,
or something... learn about it here -->
