Windows Update Installer does not finish?

    my system:
    windows xp home

    i downloaded the SP1A XP (network installation)

    at the time the file begins to update windows (after
    the "data archive question") the window close and thats
    it... (at approximately 5%)

    no message or something else

    any idea?
