When installing Windows XP it wants to create a partition
the same size as the free space on my physical drive. Is
this where I would limit the size of my initial virtual
drive? I'm worried that it will go off an parition part
of my drive and leave me "dead in the water".

    Thanks

  2. Don't worry. The reported (maximum) size of the drive *inside* the VM,
is much less than the actual used size of the drive-file on the host
    computer.

Try it with a 4 GB drive in the VM. You will notice that it initially
starts out as 13 KB or something.

Instead of allowing the new PC wizard to create a disk image for you,
use the Disk Wizard and make your own of the size you desire. See the
    VPC Help for more details.
