    Hello All!

I am using MCE 2004 MSDN and Windvd 5.xx as the DVD
decoder and I can get Dolby Digital 5.1 audio from the
MCE machine to my 5.1 receiver, but when I close the MCE
interface and go back in, I have to again set the option
from 2 channel audio back to 5.1 digital audio in the
Intervideo application to get 5.1 audio again.

Is there any way to have MCE and the Intervideo codec
default to 5.1 audio instead of the 2 channel audio every
    time MCE is launched?

    Thanks in advance for support!

same problem here - i have to use the external surround decoder option, but
it defaults back to two channel when restarting the program. out of
interest, does windvd 5 reset itself on your setup, ie the main app. mine
    does too :-(

Please let Intervideo know you are not happy with the reset issue. I have
been battling with them over this since WinDVD 4.

    Cheers,

Did you see if they resolved the problem in WinDVD 5.3 (released yesterday)?
Judging from previous history, it'd seem doubtful, but you never know.

I know WinDVD 5.3 solved a problem for me while playing back ms-dvr files in
    media player so YMMV
