On a new 250GB NTFS hard drive, I can not play avi files on my Winxp computer
and any video player. There is no error message, just a white screen with no
audio and the video skips thru on occasion. The files work fine on other
hard drives and on other computers that are win2000, and those other
computers viewing the file both locally and thru the network fine. I can
only see this as a conflict with XP, the hard drive and the files. Any
    suggestions

  2. Probably GSpot would help to diagnose problems with either the AVI
file or your installed codecs to play it :

Let us know what it reports.
