WLM on Laptop? [SOLVED!]

Discussion in 'Windows Live Mail' started by Neil Turkenkopf, Mar 15, 2014.

  1. Hi folks,

While trying to decide which method to use (from RC, Roland, & Winston),
I suddenly remembered a 4th method that I had previously used successfully
    for months!

Way back in 2013, my Win7 PC was having major problems (turning itself off
    at random)
and it was in & out of the shop for over 4 months. (!)

During that time, I really need to stay connected somehow and I used my
    trusty old Win XP PC
and *Comcast's Webmail*! It let me Send & Receive, all my Contacts are
    there, etc.

I don't know why I didn't think of it sooner, but it works great on the new
    laptop,
and I didn't have to install anything! Hope this helps anyone in a similar
    situation.

    Thanks again you guys!! :)

    Hi Neil,
Thanks for the follow-up and a good suggestion.

I also maintain my current contacts on my isps' web mail service which
provides, when necessary, the ability to send/receive mail and
retrieve/download contacts if disaster occurs locally...though for me,
its a lot easier to just retain a full set of vcf files locally and on
    external media.
