WMP 11 developer question: reading nested playlists

    I don't know if this is the right forum, but I don't see one specifically for
    developers, so here goes. I am working on video functionality for an online
    store in WMP11. When a user clicks on a video link, I play a short video ad
    (served by a different server) followed by the video they requested. So the
    playlist looks like this:

    <asx>
    <entryref href="www.myadserver.com/blahblah" />
    <entry>
    <param name="firstValue" value="tastyData">
    <ref href="www.myvideoserver.com/blahblah">
    </entry>
    </asx>

    The entryref in turn comes back with this:
    <asx>
    <entry>
    <ref href="whatever">
    <param name="secondValue" value="tastyData2">
    </entry>
    </asx>

    Here's the question: I need access to parameters from both the parent
    playlist and the nested one (which is from a different server) in order to
    render my HTMLView page completely. Is there any way to iterate over the
    playlist - *including nested entries* - and grab these values? Or do I have
    to wait until the player actually gets to that entry and then use
    currentMedia? I've set it up that way for the moment but the client is very
    unhappy about it.

    If this isn't the right forum I'd really appreciate suggestions about where
    to ask.
