Boy, did I screw up! I only use this program for listening to various
radio stations around the country and because some dim-witted
streaming websites require it or Real to view their material. And,
I usually only upgrade when my current version stops working. I
    upgraded without thinking.

Could this program be more awkward, more clunky, more annoying,
more intrusive, more loaded with features most people don't want
and won't use? Unless you carefully watch your options when
installing it will include all of your multimedia files in that terrible
'Library' nonfeature. They make it damned difficult to opt out or
change what it does on its own. If Real weren't worse I would
switch alll my website streaming and radio stations to them.

Jeez, Gates. Haven't you learned anything in all this time?

I don't really understand the "library" issue you're running into. Could
you clarify? The library has been present since v7. If you don't want to
use the library, I'm not sure what you were expecting out of WMP. If you
want to leave your files out of the library, turn off the
Tools:Options:Library scanning folders (and set My Music to something

While I understand much of the criticism (people always love to disagree),
yours I'm pretty much unable to grok.

Anyways, System Restore or the uninstall should work fine to roll you back
    to your library-less library-driven v9 or v10 player. =)
