    I'm on Win2k.

I tried to install WMP 9, but the installation failed. I
don't know why. I tried to go back to WMP 7.1, and it
won't install. I see the program (WMP7.1) in my control
panel, but it's not anywhere else. I tried to uninstall
it, and the wmsetup.exe file crashes every time. I tried
redownloading the program and trying again, with both
versions(7.1 and 9), and both fail the install. I seem to
be on a loop now. Can someone help me? Unless 9 actually
encompasses everything that 7.1 had, I'd prefer 7.1, but
I'd be thrilled just to have one of them up and working.

    Thank you.

    WMP9 encompasses everything WMP7 does...
    What's the crash report?
When you try to install WMP9 and it fails - how does it fail?
In the file c:\windows\wmsetup.log (or c:\winnt\wmsetup.log) - what lines
    contain "ERROR: "?
