XP Pro. WMP 10. A few days ago I played a DVD as usual and then when I tried
to play one after a cuple of days it would not play. I put disc in , the
light flickers on the player, then quits. It does not automatically open WMP
but if I open WMP right after insertng disc it says player is busy. Then it
    changes and says "no Disc".

Audio CDs play just fine and CD Roms with data weork just fine, too. I can't
force WMP to show pro[erties of disc so I can't move files around to make it
play. Updates don't help. Region 1 is the setting. Hide extensions for known
types of files is already unchecked. Devices all say they are working
    properly.

I tried everything that spople had suggeted a couple of days ago. Maybe this
info will help find someone who might be able to help me on this one. I am
really baffled by this one. Anyone care to try?
