Those masters of badly-designed, impossible-to-do-what-I-want software
have struck again with WMP 11. If MS thinks this is easy to use, or that this
has some sort of "intuitive" interface, they are wrong.

Don't bother saying that I "just need to get used to it" because that is, by
definition, the opposite of "intuitive." Either MS attracts the most useless
beta testers on the planet, or they simply choose to ignore valuable feedback
from all but the most incompetent users.

I'm primarily referring to the incredibly restrictive interface of WMP 11,
which causes users to go through a thought process something like this... "I
want to do [task X]. I ought to be able to click here to do it... No? Ok,
then this other button looks like it might do what I want... NO?! What the...
Ok I'll search the MS online KB. ...Ok, now that I've sifted through several
sounds-like-but-is-irrelevant KB articles I have a 10-step process that lets
me find my WMP 11 function. Oh, screw it. I'll just download Winamp or
something and save myself future headaches."

My suggestion to MS is to learn from Firefox designers and give the people
what they want, instead of some impossible-to-effectively-use, bug-ridden
software that causes as much frustration as production for users.

2. How odd. Did you ever consider using the built in help files, rather
than trawling KB articles ? Sounds like a moan rather than a problem
report (since you never identified *what* problem you're having)

I have no idea what task you were trying to do that needs simplification.

I would propose the old "DasBlinkenLights" program as a masterpiece of
perfectly written easy to use software that does exactly what you would
think it does. After that, things get complicated. =\
