    Why does my WMP11 rotate the display a quarter turn when playing a Quicktime

    Many thanks for your prompt reply.

    Yes, it is definitely an .MOV file.
    When I right-click on the file I get a list of choices to "Open With". If I
    select Windows Media Classic the clip plays perfectly, but if I select
    Windows Media Player the display shows a quarter turn anti-clockwise. I do
    have the K-Lite codec pack installed.

    I converted the file to AVI (mp4) using Oxelon and then QuickMedia
    Converter, but WMP11 still turns the video display a quarter turn
    As a matter of preference, all my video files default to WMP11.

    This particular video clip shows the top half of my new grandson sitting on
    his mother's knee. WMP 11 shows him lying flat on his back.
