WMP11b2 no longer works with my Creative ZenNX?

I updated WMP11 to beta 2 and now my Creative ZenNX causes an error message.
"Your device is using an outdated driver that is no longer supported by
Windows Media Player. For additional assistance, click Web Help." Now only
the ZenExtra model is listed. Everything worked well before and I have made
sure I have the latest updates to my player from creative. Their only
response is more or less, "wow that's an old player and we may not get around
to updating the firmware for that one ever again". Help! I don't want to use
Creative's crappy software when WMP is there and works for everything else I
    need to do.

Also after I updated I had to re-do the connection to my Xbox360, but
everything there seems to be OK now.

  2. Ditto for me but with Creative Zen Micro. I'm using latest firmware (1.11.01)
and drivers. Everything worked fine with WMP11 B1

If it's not supported with current generation WMP, you may want to use
    System Restore. =\

  4. I've since reverted to WMP 10 and it's working again. Are you able to say
whether this is a temporary beta issue or is MS ending suppoort for a vast
    swathe of devices?

I don't know anything at all about this issue, sorry: I've got my hands full
of my own work area and haven't had time to track anything with devices for
some time now. This sounds like something you should follow up on with
either Creative support or actual Microsoft technical support.
