Would like better file Transfer management

Discussion in 'Internet Explorer' started by Kerberos Mansour, Feb 2, 2006.

  1. One of my IE pet peeves is the lack of any management for transferring files,
thus resorting to third party tools like get-right or DAP.
Like tabbing, what I would like is that all transferred files are done in
the same IE window in one "tab". This way files will download without much
disturbance or clutter. I don't like the way transfer files take up space on
my task bar with no way of at least hiding them in the system-tray, which is
also something I would to have as an option (hiding IE 7 in the system tray).

One more thing IRC, I can always get a plug-in for it or use a client but
like RSS aggregators have you guys considered built-in support for it?
what’s your opinion of IRC in browsers?
