whats the best way to manage disk space on a file server? My users are
dumping loads of crapy data on the file server ..especially PST files. How
do you guys manage this, we dont even have quota's in place?

  2. Hello,

You might find more help at microsoft.public.storage or
microsoft.public.windows.server.general. This is a Distributed File Systems
group, we don’t have many File server admins hanging out here :)

Anyway, if you have WS2003 R2 or 2008, you might want to use File Server
Resource Manager to manage the files stored in servers. You can also forbid
certain files to be stored (for instance, the PPT files):
    http://technet2.microsoft.com/windo...964f-45e8-a76f-1bf72676b0751033.mspx?mfr=true

    Hope it helps,
