    Hello,

I've been running WMP11 successfully for a while on my main PC, which is
connected to a wireless router with an Ethernet cable. The wireless router
(D-Link DI-524 802.11g) is attached to the cable modem and this set-up has
been stable for a long while.

I purchased an Xbox360 with a wireless adapter and successfully configured
Xbox Live over the wireless router.

WMP11 on the main computer started seeing the Xbox360 immediately.

However, I can't get past the PC connection test on the Xbox360. I'm running
Windows Firewall on the PC but all the required ports seem to be available. I
never used Windows Media Connect, so I don't think it should be the upgrade
    issues that other users reported.

    Any ideas?

    Thanks

  3. I dunno - it all seems documented if you read, say the FAQ
    http://www.microsoft.com/windows/windowsmedia/player/faq/sharing.mspx

as well as perhaps the support documents on the XBox website

I am having this same problem:

    - I had WMP11 working with my 360 on my desktop computer (Called Orangecrush)
    - Setup a server (called MediaMule) with WMP11 and enabled sharing with the
360 (it could see the 360 fine)
    - Never had WMC installed on my server before going to WMP11 (but I did on
    my desktop orangecrush)
    - Server MediaMule sees the 360 right away in WMP11 sharing dialog
    - Server MediaMule has Windows firewall disabled for LAN connection
    - Deleted Orangecrush from 360 list, disabled sharing on Orangecrush
    - 360 cannot see MediaMule at all. Tried dozens of things.

    - If I turn sharing back on for Orangecrush I can see it on my 360 right away.

How do I get my 360 to see my new media server?

    Thanks,
    Jeff
