I would like to use domain based dfs so that all shares are of the form
\\Mydomain.com\sharename, and i have created 2 as test.

But how do users connect to them from an XP client. These shares do not
appear in explorer anywhere. Using the active directory search under "My
Network Places", i cannot find them ??

Dave, they are not shown in explorer, or even network neibhorhood. You will
have to type it in to explorer to see the shares. I distibuted a shortcut to
my users desktops that points to the DFS path.

Also, keep in mind that after the latest patches from Windows Update, you
will get warning messages when trying to run executables from these shares
with XP. If you leave the .com portion out of the path, it will still work,
and you won't get the error messages.
