In order to use various mail accounts and be able to see the new messages in
all of them at once I have the folder tree for each account collapsed, then
the new message count is displayed in brackets to the right of the account
label and I just click on the label to view the inbox of that account. A
    most useful feature.

However I find that the message count for unread messages is not updated
each time when I read one of those messages and will stay on the count of
new messages until I expand one of the account trees and then it is updated
    for all the accounts.

Finding the Outbox behaves the same way. Keeps displaying a (1) even after
the message is sent, but as soon as you expand any account folder tree, it
    updates the count.

This only seems to happen when one or more account trees is collapsed. I
only just started collapsing account folder trees in the last day or two
when I added more accounts to WLM.

    Are these pop accounts?

I have 4 pop accounts and usually have 2 collapsed.
    My unread count updates correctly.
