Microsoft Windows Live Mail desktop 8.0.1223 ????????

I think that its a program that has been poorly designed.
They took outlook express and destroyed it....
Gui changes that are not user friendly at all and ugly.

it also created problems with live messenger...

I could call it a disaster. Sorry

It's still in Beta, if it doesn't work for you, uninstall it and wait until
the final version comes out and hopefully it will have everything you want.
I don't have any problems with it. It works just fine for me.

  4. vista was still in beta, but the final was the same horrible concept and
    design as the beta..

its not a matter of removing bugs..

its a matter of concept and design...

if the idea is blah from the start... you get a blah result

Then as I said in my previous post, just uninstall it. Why keep using
something you don't like? Your complaining and negativity is not going to
    get it changed.

  6. I have uninstalled it and will not install it unless they learn how to
    design better applications.

I am not negative.. I am explaining the nature of the application so others
    can
benefit from my experience and avoid it

I agree with you all. I think this is very cool and and that it has
a lot of bugs. Microsoft is always behind the rest of the world,
but I can wait for the final release. I do not have any major issues
with the program, but I still do not use it as my main email client.
OE is still working pretty good for me after 10/15
    years or so.

We all know how Microsoft works so lets give them their time
to get this baby walking properly. I have several MSN Hotmail
accounts and I love the fact that I can view them from One
    single place.

When we all have to switch to Vista in the future. OE will not be
there and Vista Mail does not handle Hotmail accounts (can you
believe that?) so this will be the one I will be using.

So for now is not perfect, but I will be much better in a few
months and we will find some other program to celebrate
or gripe about at that time.

  8. there is an ultimate kernel of truth, even though we all have limited
    perception, some
are closer to the truth than others....

This is not a simple "experience", this is my opinion based on understanding
of what makes a good application or not. And I am close to the truth. Closer
    than you.

The truth is one, whether you like it or not, you can go ahead and hide from
    it,
but I must say it so others will benefit.

  9. Well you're "truth" is actually based on incorrect assumptions. WLM isn't
just a re-write of OE. OE was re-written and you can find the latest version
in Vista. WLM was basically written from scratch, it overcomes some problems
that OE had and introduces some that OE didn't have. But in the end it's a
    different product with different aims.
If you don't like the product then do as Larry suggested and un-install it.
If you want to make it better then please give microsoft the input of your
    knowledge and experience through connect.
Just sitting and complaining doesn't benefit anyone. Go out and make a
    difference.

OE code is in there, Bryan even mentioned they couldn't start from complete
    scratch.

As to the rest, can't argue at what you say there, tell'em to don't let the
door hit'em where the good Lord split'em.
