I have set up my own windows live ID and I am trying to setup my daughters on
the same computer but from her account login not my own.
I am using the following e-mail for her: {removed email address} which I am
    told is available.
I complete the form and submit at which point i get the following error:
"You've reached the daily limit for creating Windows Live IDs. Please wait a
day and try to sign up again or contact support for assistance.
    OK
    Error code: 450 : 0x800482d4 : 2009-07-23T14:03:54 GMT"
I had this problem yesterday and the same problem 24 hours later. I also
want to set up my partner with an account..
    Can anyone help??

Nobody here is an official representative of Windows Live, so, we can't
help. Other than suggesting that you follow their advice, which was: "Please
wait a day and try to sign up again or contact support for assistance."

Unfortunately, spammers learned early on (in the days of MSN Hotmail, back
around 1997, or so) how to sign up free accounts in bulk. And spam from them
until shut down, then switch. All free webmail providers are subject to such
abuse, and, in defense of their systems, place a limit on how many accounts
can be signed up in a given period. One possible work around: Pay for a
Windows Live Plus account. You should be able to create as many as you are
willing to pay for. Otherwise, short of getting assistance from Support,
just wait a day, or so, before trying again.

  3. Greetings,

I'm betting the original poster is on an ISP which is using some sort of transparent proxy,
so all the requests appear to be coming from the same IP. That or the PC is compromised,
although I doubt the latter really.

I'd like to cite a third solution; just e-mail me (or someone else you trust if that makes
you feel uncomfortable) the e-mail address and a password (which you can change later) and I
or someone else can happily make an account for you.

    Jonathan,

I am having the same issue. We are rolling out Live Messenger to our call
center managers and after setting up the 2nd one, I was locked out.

Can I email you a few more accounts to create? Should be 3 more that I need.

Also, we planned on rolling this out to our ~50 phone agents.. should I be
looking at another option? I can't imagine having to do this 2 a day until
    everyone has an account..

    Thanks,
    Wayne

Oops.. just realized you were offering to do 1 account for the original
poster. You would probably run into the same problem I'm having if you tried
    to create 3 new accounts.

Hrm.. not sure how I can get around this.

My e-mail address is right here in the newsgroup, feel free to make use of it (and hopefully
will get through the spam filter).

  8. Hi Wayne,

I think the problem might be timing. For instance, several accounts made within a certain
number of minutes. In the past, I've certainly made more than three accounts within a few
hours without any trouble (for testing various things).

I would hope (and expect) that it would reset this block after a day or so so you can make
    another.
